Pakistan international airlines has started a restructuring process and as a first step a notification issued last evening, has changed the designations of PIA Directors as Chiefs of their respective divisions.
The new designations of the company will be as follows. Chief Operating Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Technical Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, and Chief Corporate Development Officer. There are still General Manager of Safety & Quality Assurance and General Manager Procurement who will look after their respective divisions reporting to Chief Executive Officer of the Airline.
The advisor to Prime Minister on Aviation, Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan also addressed the airlines senior management officials and office bearers of PIA associations and CBA yesterday evening at a local hotel. Sardar Mehtab said that the restructuring process has been initiated in the airline and all employees will now have to work collectively in bringing back the past glory of the national flag carrier.
In order to make PIA a profitable entity, restructuring of Human resource has been initiated after the approval of PIACL Board of Directors.
