China’s national flag carrier Air China, has decided to increase flights on the Beijing-Islamabad-Karachi route from four a week to seven starting October 29. While Pakistani flag carrier has reduced its weekly flights after expansion on the route for few months.Air China used to fly to Pakistan on Beijing-Chengdu-Karachi with an Airbus A320 twice weekly. Later from October 2013 Air China replaced the equipment with A330-200 and routing its flight from Beijing to Islamabad and then Karachi. Initially Air China offered 3 weekly flights that were increased to 4 weekly and now with PIA reducing its flights there will daily flight on this route.
Hu Haitao, manager of Air China’s Islamabad office, spoke at a promotional event on Thursday that the increased flights will “better serve the exchanges between China and Pakistan in trade and culture.”
