PIA wants to “make New Islamabad airport a hub”

The CEO and president of Pakistan International airline Musharraf Rasool Cyan have said that PIA wants to use the new Islamabad airport as its hub and the airline is in the process to develop its base at this facility. He also said the airport would cater to passengers travelling from Europe, Africa as well as China and Asia Pacific countries.While talking to Pakistani newspaper Express Tribune Dr Cyan said that airports and airlines grow side by side and that is why PIA want to make (the new) Islamabad airport a hub. He also said that PIA would play a major role in determining the success of the new Islamabad airport. “PIA would remain the key airline for Islamabad, which would remain only a terminal destination for foreign airlines,” he said.

As the new airport is almost ready and the road network leading to it is under construction PIA is developing its office and booth at the airport.
