Shaheen Air to bring back stranded passengers from Guangzhou, China

Shaheen Air International has scheduled a ferry flight from Lahore to Guangzhou, China to bring back the passengers stranded there from 28th July. Special flight NL 892 and NL 891 will be operated on August 3, 2018.

Shaheen Air’s director of marketing Zohaib Hassan, in a statement, said that the flight will bring the passengers back. He further added that “Reports about arresting of Passengers due to visa expiry are baseless.”

He also stated that “all the Passengers are safe and sound. We have provided them with accommodation and food and they are being looked after well. After getting permission from CAA, our flight NL 892 will depart on August 3 from Lahore at 3 AM and reach Guangzhou in the afternoon at 12 PM (China time). The same flight bearing number NL 891 will pick Pakistani passengers and depart from Guangzhou at 2pm and reach Lahore airport at 6pm”.

The pressure on Shaheen from Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan is unrelenting and despite the suffering of passengers who were stuck in Guangzhou. CAA let these passengers suffer but refused to allow Shaheen to operate the flight regardless of Sindh High court orders.
