Emirates planning to stop Multan Dubai flights

The Gulf giant Emirates is planning to it end its scheduled flights on Dubai to Multan route in the final quarter of 2018. The airline’s summer schedule shows that airline is ending its 4 times weekly flight to Multan airport. Emirates was the only major international carrier that was serving the airport with twin class Boeing Boeing 777-300 aircraft. Last flight for this 4 weekly service is scheduled on 26 OCT 2018. Last flight on this route will be operated on 26 October. Emirates is not disappearing from the Southern Punjab gateway completely. Its subsidiary Flydubai will continue to serve this route through its twice daily rotation. Emirates and Flydubai are already providing codeshare flights for this route. The latter continues to serve Multan twice daily, with its 737-800.

Emirates is going through tough time and had to cut a lot of frequencies to Pakistan due to various reasons. One of the major reasons is the crew shortage that the airline is facing. It used to fly 7 times a day to Karachi from Dubai but it is not operating 4 flights a day and codesharing with Flydubai on the route.
