PIA Boeing 777 radome damaged after birdstrike

A Boeing 777-200ER of Pakistan International with registration AP-BMH received a bird strike that damaged the aircraft on 22 January 2019.

The aircraft was operating flight PK-735 with 300 passengers and crew onboard, from Peshawar, Pakistan to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The flight was eventually diverted to Karachi as the aircraft’s radome was damaged. The flight left Peshawar at 5.23 PM but it had to divert to Karachi where the airline has its base.

The aircraft landed at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport at 7:02 PM where they removed the radome and replaced it. After spending 2 hours the aircraft departed again for its final destination Jeddah. It operated PK-746 from Jeddah to Sialkot on 22 January and then PK-745 from Sialkot to Jeddah on 23 January as well as PK-760 Jeddah to Lahore and then PK-759 from Lahore to Jeddah. Today the plane operated PK-732 from to Karachi.
