Civil Aviation Authority will bear 50% cost of the flying charges fro female trainee pilots

Pakistan International Airlines has inducted 25 Cadet Pilots who will start duties on ATR aircraft. These pilots were invited for a ceremony at the PIA head office. A simple ceremony was held at PIA Head Office, where Advisor to Prime Minister on Aviation, Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan presented appointment offer letters to the newly inducted Pilots.

Pakistan civil aviation authority will be shouldering 50% cost of the flying charges for female trainee pilots. This was said by the spokesperson of the Aviation Division. Female trainee pilots who have completed at least 100 hours for flying are eligible for the funding. The Civil Aviation Authority shall pay the amount directly to the institutions where these pilots are training.

Aviation division has hailed this step as another milestone that is achieved under the National Aviation Policy, 2019. In line with the vision of the Prime Minister regarding women empowerment and as per National Aviation Policy, 2019. In Pakistan, there is a very little or no help available for aspiring pilots or training pilots apart from the cadet scheme offered by Pakistan International Airlines. Under this scheme, PIA inducts 25 pilots annually for training who later become the pilots for PIA.
