PIA to start Lahore to Baku flights from 14th March

Pakistan International Airlines is expanding its route network and adding new destinations to its route network in Central Asia. From Sunday 14th March PIA will start operating its flight to Baku in Azerbaijan. PIA will be operating two flights a week to Baku from Lahore. At the same time, PIA CEO Air Marshal retired Arshad Malik said they are planning to start a flight to Uzbekistan. He said that the airline is planning to link Tashkent and Bishkek in the central Asia republic.

PIA CEO held a meeting with Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan Aibak Arif Usmanov and Ambassador of Pakistan to Uzbekistan Syed Ali Asad Gilani. According to PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez, PIA management requested permission to start Lahore-Tashkent flights.
