Serene Air finally operates its inaugural flight to Sharjah after first flight failure

Serene Air second aircraft AP-BND arrived at Karachi airport.

Serene Air has finally started its international flight operations after its inaugural flight was aborted before making its way to the runway. Flight ER703 encountered tech issues and the captain brought the flight back o the gate. The inaugural flight eventually took off the next day on the 17th of March at 3 AM and landed at Sharjah International Airport at 2 AM local time. Serene replaced the plane for this flight.

The original Flight ER703 on 16th March was scheduled with Boeing 737-800 AP=BNC. But on the 17th the actual inaugural flight was operated by the other Boeing 737-800 AP-BND. Both these aircraft are older aircraft that Serene took from Turkish Airline Anadolujet. It is very surprising why serene did not deploy it’s brand new Boeing 737-800 for such an important flight. Serene Air will be operating 3 flights a week between Islamabad and Sharjah every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Serene is also booking tickets for its Lahore to Dubai flights starting from the 1st of May.

According to sources when the aircraft started its move towards the runway the captain realised some technical issues with one of the landing gears. There is no confirmed news about the actual fault. The pilot took the bold decision to return the flight to the gate so the technical fault could be sorted out. There is no official word from the airline.
