Pakistan International Airlines and Airblue have cancelled their flights to and from Saudi Arabia and Oman. Flight cancellations for Saudi Arabia is initially for one week in response to restrictions imposed by the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia. Both countries have suspended all international commercial passenger flights to and from the kingdom for a week. This could be extended to another week.
Flight to and from Oman
Oman’s Supreme Committee for dealing with (COVID-19) announced on Monday 21st of December 2020, the decision to suspend international flight operations. The same day the Civil Aviation Authority of Oman notified all airlines operating in the Sultanate of Oman the following:
1. All international flights for passengers travelling to and from the Sultanate of Oman are temporarily suspended. Cargo flights are exempted from this decision.
2. The decision will take effect from 01:00 AM (Local Time) on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, and ends at 00:59 AM (Local Time) on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.

This action is taken after the press conference by British Prime Minister Boris Jhonson who reported about the appearance of a new mutated strain of coronavirus in a number. A number of European countries have since stopped flights to and from the there United Kingdom. The Kingdom has also decided to close its land as sea borders. However, the foreign flights that are currently in the Kingdom are allowed to leave.
