The Taliban leadership have stopped all evacuation flights from Afghanistan to anywhere with immediate effect. On an evacuation flight permission requested by PIA the Taliban ministry of interior ministry has said that this provision rule is now closed. Recently a Qatar Airways flight was not allowed to take passengers from Kabul. Taliban have been asking airlines to pay some kind of “royalty fee” of up-to $200 dollars per passenger to their Ariana Afghan airlines if anyone is trying to take passengers out without using their airline or aircraft.

This seems to be another tactic to blackmail international community to bow down to Taliban demands that revolve around funds requests. It is also an attempt to pressurise airlines to comply and pay to Afghanistan airlines in a bid to revive their business.
