More disruptions as Lahore airports turns into air passengers worst nightmare

3 flights circling over Lahore airport.

Closure of main airport runway and lack of ILS needed for foggy winters in Punjab meant that flights disruptions continue to haunt passengers travelling to and from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport. Only PIA had to divert or cancel 6 flights from Lahore. 3 flights destined for Lahore ended up landing at Islamabad International airport. PK304 from Karachi to Lahore, PK264 from Abu Dhabi to Lahore, PK9760 from Jeddah to Lahore landed at Islamabad airport. PK303 Lahore to Karachi, PK9759 from Lahore to Jeddah and PK189 from Lahore to Bahrain were cancelled. Passengers who arrived to fly in the morning had to spend the whole day so they could fly out because their flights were cancelled. It is important to note that the main runway of Lahore airport is under repair for the past one year and it will be one year over its publisher completion date in February. During the past few weeks, airlines have incurred millions of dollars in costs and losses due to disruptions and delays at the airport and the passenger suffering is on top of that.
