Air Sial’s 4th Airbus A320 lands at Karachi Airport

Pakistan’s youngest airline startup Air Sial received its 4th Airbus A320 today at Karachi International Airport. The aircraft is leased from Singapore-based leasing company BOC Aviation. The Aircraft is registered in Pakistan as AP-BOS. The airline plans to start its scheduled international flights soon after it receives its 5th aircraft which is due for delivery in the coming days. This aircraft is 9 years and 8 months old. It was delivered to Jetstar Asia as 9V-JSS and remained with the airline. It was stored in March this year as AE-IMM and arrived from Naples, Italy to Karachi as flight PF1786.

This aircraft is an ex-Avianca El Salvador jet that took its first flight on 16 May 2008. It was delivered to TACA International Airlines which became Avianca El Salvador. The aircraft remained in South America with the same airline throughout its life. The aircraft took off on 9th December from Phoenix Goodyear Airport to Portsmouth International Airport, the USA for its delivery flight. From Portsmouth, it flew to Reykjavik the same day and the next day on 10 December from Reykjavik to Cairo, Egypt. On 11 December the aircraft took off from Cairo for its final leg of a delivery flight to Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.

This aircraft is an ex-Avianca El Salvador jet that took its first flight on 21 May 2008. It was delivered to TACA International Airlines which became Avianca El Salvador. The aircraft remained in South America with the same airline throughout its life. The aircraft took off on 3rd December from Phoenix Goodyear Airport to Portsmouth International Airport, the USA for its delivery flight. From Portsmouth, it flew to Reykjavik and the next day from Reykjavik to Cairo, Egypt. Today it took off from Cairo for its final leg of a delivery flight to Sialkot International Airport.

The first aircraft to join the Air Sial fleet was an ex-Air New Zealand Airbus A320 that is over 16 years old. It was delivered to Air New Zealand in September 2004 and it took its first flight on July 13, 2004. Its delivery flight took off from Phoenix Goodyear Airport (USA) via Portsmouth International Airport (USA) and Belfast International Airport Republic of Ireland and Cairo International Airport (Egypt). The airline now plans to start operation in December 2020 after several delays and deadlines have passed.
