French Civil Aviation Safety Investigation Authority (BEA) has said that the mission on the crash site is about to be completed. BEA, SAFRON engines, CFM Engines, Airbus, and PIA officials will start analyzing the data of PK8303. The Pakistani investigators involved in the Karachi plane crash probe will also fly to France along with the foreign experts where the work on the flight data and cockpit voice recorders will begin on June 2, investigators said on Saturday.

It added that Pakistani investigators would fly to France along with the French team. “Thanks a lot [Aircraft Accident and Investigation Board] AAIB from Pakistan for the coordination, organization, and support provided.”
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-8303 went down in Karachi last week, killing 97 people on board, two passengers survived miraculously. Under international aviation rules, BEA investigators joined the Pakistan-led inquiry because the 15-year-old jet was designed in France.
The ill-fated Airbus A320 plane was handed over to the PIA in 2014 and had completed 47,100 flight hours and 25,860 flight cycles until its crash. A technical team of the plane manufacturer arrived in Karachi on Tuesday to join the investigation into the incident.
The government had constituted a four-member inquiry board comprising officials from Pakistan Air Force and aviation experts to investigate the cause of the crash. Prime Minister Imran Khan has also promised an impartial and transparent inquiry and directed the officials to the public all the previous investigation reports.
