PIA flight schedule massively disrupted due to protests in Karachi

Pakistan International Airlines is facing massive disruptions in its flight operations due to sit-in by protestors in Karachi. According to a statement issued by PIA spokesperson Abdullah Khan due to protests, the roads going towards Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport are facing massive traffic jams. Due to traffic and other issues passengers are facing issues and many flights departing from Karachi were cancelled or delayed.

The flights cancellations meant that many passengers were stuck at different airports. Domestic as well as international flight operations is severely disrupted.

Here are the flights that were cancelled today.
PK368 and PK369 between Karachi Islamabad and Karachi
PK304 and PK305 between Karachi Lahore and Karachi

Here are the flights that were delayed
Karachi Islamabad
and Karachi flights PK308 and 309 were delayed by 2 hours. PK308 took off at 6 PM and PK309 took off at 9PM.
Karachi to Peshawar flights PK350 was delayed and took off at 6 PM.
Karachi to Faisalabad flight PK340 was delayed and took off at 6 PM.
Karachi to Dubai flight PK213 was also delayed by one and half hour.

PIA has advised all passengers to call before leaving for airport and check the flight schedule. It has also requested passengers to leave home way early to compensate for the extra time on road.
