The government of Pakistan approved a financial support package worth Rs17.022 billion for national flag carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). This was decided during a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee on Monday. Federal Minister of Finance Asad Umar chaired the meeting. This is the first financial support package approved by the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf government.
