Airblue sister company is preparing to launch its flight operations as it is taking delivery of its first aircraft an Airbus A320 from Airblue. The airline applied in October 2018 with US Department of Transport (DOT) to allow it to start operations. In October 2020, the airline was issued a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for Interstate Air Transportation by DOT. Airblue’s first brand new aircraft AP-EDA is ferried to USA for the airline. It was stored since January this year at Istanbul. On October 5, 2021 it was registered in the United States as N786PB.
The English translation of “BAHN” means train to the literal meaning of airline is Air-train. The branding of the airline is strikingly similar to Airblue. In recent months, the Pakistani aviation industry has been going through a lot of problems. It will be interesting to see how this new airline by an American Pakistani in United stated will take off and add value to its sister company at home.
