Pakistan International Airlines has became the first commercial passenger airline to fly to Fujairah.The first PIA scheduled flight carrying 168 passengers from Peshawar arrived in Fujairah on Thursday 25th November 2021. Members of the Royal family of Fujairah and other senior officials received the first PIA flight. CEO Pakistan International Airlines Air Marshal Arshad Malik travelled on the flight specially. PIA has started the flights at the special request of the Amir of Fujairah who is trying to open up the emirate.
Russian S7 Airline is also starting twice weekly flights to Fujairah. PIA will operate flights to Fujairah from Peshawar, Lahore and Islamabad. PIA flight received traditional welcome dance was performed at the airport. Special buses have also been arranged for PIA passengers which will provide free access to other cities.
