Pakistan International Airlines have received its 2nd out of 4 Airbus A320s it has agreed to accept on dry lease. This aircraft is leased from AerCap, which is the largest lessor partner to airlines worldwide that has approximately 200 airline customers across about 80 countries. The latest aircraft is registered as AP-BOM in Pakistan and it arrived from Sharjah at Islamabad airport.

This aircraft is 10 years old and took its first flight on 23 July 2012. The same year on 4 September it was delivered to Lebanon’s Middle East Airlines leased from GECAS. The aircraft remained with MEA for the next 8 years and was withdrawn from use on 25 May 2020. ON 12 November 2020 it was stored in Sofia, Bulgaria and it remained stored till 4 April 2022 when it was flown again. It flew to Sharjah on 04 April 2022 and remained in storage until today when it was flown to Islamabad by Captain Syed Moin and First Officer Uzair Ansari.

This aircraft is 5 years old and took its first flight on 19 July 2017. The same year on 9 August it was delivered to Mexico’s Interjet operated by ACG Air lease. The aircraft remained with Interjet for the next 3 years and was leased to Seraph Aviation in October 2019. On 6 July 2021, it was stored at Pyrénées-Orientales, Perpignan-Rivesaltes Airport in France and in October it was flown again. In November 2021 it was acquired by PIA from Seraph Aviation. Currently, it is flown by PIA in Interjet livery.

This aircraft is 5 years old and took its first flight on 15 July 2017. The same year on 27 July it was delivered to Mexico’s Interjet operated by ACG Air lease. The aircraft remained with Interjet for the next 3 years and was leased to Seraph Aviation in October 2019. On 24 March it was withdrawn from service and stored at Pheonix Goodyear Litchfield airport from 31 March to 16 June 2021. On 15 July 2020, it was stored leased to Seraph Aviation and stored at Pyrénées-Orientales, Perpignan-Rivesaltes Airport in France from 17 June 2021 to 13 September 2021. It was moved to Islamabad International Airport on 14 September and remained in storage till 18 October 2021. Then it was moved to Karachi International Airport on 18 October 2021 and entered into service the next day with PIA on dry lease from Seraph Aviation. Currently, it is flown by PIA in Interjet livery.

This aircraft is 8.9 years old and took its first flight on 3 September 2013. The same year on 30 Sep 2013 it was acquired by Lebanon’s Middle East Airlines leased from GECAS. It was delivered to MEA on 2 October 2013. The aircraft remained with MEA for the next 8 years and was withdrawn from use on 5 September 2021. It remained stored at Sharjah Airport from 11 October 2021 to 28 April 2022. On 13 October 2021, it was returned from lease and on 1st November 2021, it was acquired by AerCap. On 28 April 2022, it was ferried from Sharjah to Islamabad on a delivery flight and it entered into service with PIA on 2nd July 2022. Currently, it is flown by PIA in MEA’s SkyTeam livery.
